Si Vis Amari, Ama

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

Hi everyone!

I know that I have been a bit absent lately but I have been busy busy busy! This post is titled Si Vis Amari, Ama (if you want love, love) in honor of Darcy and Mike.

Darcy & Mike got married last night and their wedding was as beautiful as their story! When I think about a couple that is truly meant to be, they immediately come to mind; their love is honestly one that is only found in a fairytale.

Mike’s two beautiful little girls were a part of the ceremony and they were fantastic assistants! The eldest played “Here Comes the Bride” on her clarinet and the tears were glimmering in everyone’s eyes in the light of the setting sun.

Their family’s guardian angel was watching over all four of them with love in her heart and sharing in their happiness with them through abundant sunshine and beautiful songbirds overhead. Just thinking about the immense love that Darcy & Mike share amongst themselves and “the girls” gives me goosebumps.

Congratulations my friends!

Long time no talk!

Hello world! Sorry that I have been “missing” from cyber space! Things have been a bit crazy around here and big ideas are in the works!

I can’t believe that the 2010 wedding season is already upon us! This year seems to be flying by…May already!? I have been studying a lot of organic products and gardens lately and it has inspired me to incorporate nature into so many of my events. Use what mother nature has granted to you….play off of the gardens that surround your wedding venue….take elements of nature (nests, leaves, flowers, etc) and incorporate them into your very special day.

Rich, full, colorful bouquets will bring a bit of spring into your wedding day ceremony….give seeds as a favor to share your love of the outdoors with your guests. As you can see…the opportunities are endless!

So, once again, I’m sorry for disappearing on all of you…I won’t do it again! I promise!

Chat soon!

Blackout

Day 2.5 of no power…..really makes you think about what is important in life! Currently, I am sitting in a hotel (luckily with lights!) and constantly checking the updated reports of when the power may be restored…..it’s not looking like its going to be anytime soon, but the crews are working hard!

Not having power reminded me about the romantic feeling that candles can bring to any situation. Eat dinner by candlelight and you’ll see what I mean. Evoke this romantic feeling at your wedding….chandeliers hanging from the ceiling lit by soft flickering flames, tons of candles of different heights on each table with the flame picking up the different colors of the flowers in the centerpiece, or floating candles in a nearby fountain with orchids circling with the current of the cascading water.

Makes you want to go light one right now doesn’t it!? These sultry, romantic feelings are often forgotten, and what a better place to reignite them than at your wedding! Take the glass of white wine sitting right near you, light a candle on a beautiful silver candle stick right behind it and sit back and let your thoughts take you!

Keep warm!
